Staff-level product design, now on subscription.
I'm Aaron Cheng, founder of DONO Studio. Twelve years across product, systems, and brand design at Meta, GoDaddy, and Striim.
Meta, GoDaddy, Striim, and BorderX Lab are trademarks of their respective owners. DONO Studio is an independent design practice and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Twelve years before DONO Studio, I was a Staff Product Designer at Meta, leading 0-to-1 work like AI Profiles and Lasso, the app that became Reels. Before that, senior and lead design roles at GoDaddy, Striim, and BorderX Lab. DONO Studio is just me. Every project is designed start to finish by the same person you emailed.

What you get
A senior designer who scopes, designs, and hands off finished work, not a junior team routed through a project manager.
Product & UX design
New features, full products, or a redesign of what isn't working. Consumer and enterprise software alike.
Brand & visual identity
Logos, visual language, and a design system that gives a product its own point of view.
Enterprise & systems design
Permissions, workflows, onboarding. The complex, structural work most designers avoid.
AI-assisted prototyping
Working prototypes, built with the same AI tooling used to ship production UI at Meta.
Why this instead of an agency
Most agencies route your project through a junior team. Most independent contractors cap out at senior level.
How it works
One request in the queue at a time. No calls required to keep it moving.
Submit a request
Send anything: a feature, a screen, a full flow. It goes straight into the queue.
Get async updates
Progress lands in your inbox as it happens. No standing meetings required.
Request revisions
Unlimited revisions until it's right, with no extra invoices along the way.
Pause or cancel
Nothing to send this month? Pause the subscription. Cancel any time, no contract.
Selected work
A range across consumer, enterprise, and brand work, mostly from before Meta. Current client work stays private by default.

Frequently asked
What counts as one request?
A screen, a flow, a feature, or a focused design problem. Large initiatives get broken into a sequence of requests so you see progress every few days instead of waiting on one big reveal.
How fast is turnaround?
Most requests get a first pass within 2 to 3 business days. Since only one request is worked on at a time, submitting a clear brief up front is the biggest lever on speed.
What tools do you use?
Figma for design work, plus AI-assisted tooling (built on Claude Code) to turn designs into working prototypes and, where useful, production-ready UI code.
What's not included?
Large-scale illustration campaigns and backend engineering. If a request needs one of those, it gets flagged up front rather than quietly attempted.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes. Pause for any month you have nothing to send and resume whenever you're ready. Billing stops while paused.
Who is this for?
Founders and product teams who need senior design output without hiring a full-time designer or briefing a multi-person agency.
